Honestly, television really hasn't changed the face of sports or sports news. What television and
satellite providers have changed, however, is the way in which we experience them.
Before television, if you wanted the latest sports news you had to do one of four things:
1.) Go to an actual game and see it for yourself.
2.) Read about it in the newspaper.
3.) Hear about it on the radio and form your own image in your mind.
4.) Get the inside scoop from a friend and fellow fan and hope you were getting an objective account.
Even early television and its coverage of sports doesn't compare to the realm of sports entertainment the average super fan now has access to.
Just to give you an idea, there are now specialized sports channels that actually break up your TV screen into several smaller boxes that allow you to watch multiple feeds of football at the same exact time. There are NASCAR racing channels that actually have driver cams giving you a first-person view of the race. There are actual sports services that cover international sports like soccer and even cricket.
Television has changed the way you enjoy and experience sports, definitely, but it has not changed sports overall.
For years, many people saw cheerleaders simply as attractive females who danced and cheered for their favorite teams from the sidelines. In fact, many people still think that cheerleaders are simply on the field in order to give the team a morale boost and to give the fans a show, but cheer leading is actually a highly competitive and physical sport.
Cheerleaders train year-round and stay in good shape so that they have the endurance and stamina that they need to make it through an entire game without getting tired. Although these young women and men do spend a good part of their time on the field cheering on their favorite team and their favorite players, they do much more than shake their pom poms for the crowd.
There are actually lots of highly competitive cheer leading competitions out there for various teams across the country. these competitions do not simply rate the cheerleaders on their cheers and dance moves; these athletes are expected to do lots of different stunts that take a lot of practice and skill.
Although many people think that cheerleaders are not athletes at all, cheer leading does consist of a lot of training, practicing and athletic skill and ability, and more and more schools and fans are finally beginning to realize that cheer leading truly is a sport.

Dallas Cowboys fans can now see their team play in their new stadium located in Arlington, TX. Why was the Texas Stadium replaced? The main reason is better access. Arlington, TX is located in the ideal spot to accommodate major highways leading into the new stadium from fourteen entrances compared to the three approaches available to get to Texas Stadium. The second is parking space. Approximately 30,000 parking spaces will be available for fans. The new venue is more compatible to the bustling environment of a metro city. The stadium has two plazas, one for each end zone, along with three party decks located within that covers a combined space of about 10 acres.
These areas can be used for entertainment prior, during and after a game for people to intermingle while at the stadium. Moreover, fans can get a spectacular view of the playing field from all directions. Large screen monitors and media boards are available at the end zone which can convert to a seating area for bystanders based on specific circumstances. In addition, the new stadium has 200 suites, 1,600 toilets, 286 concession units, club areas, and video boards for premium viewing of the game.

Baseball, unlike football does not have a salary cap, so essentially, a good team can be bought. This is not always easy to do though. The Yankees, though successful, do have a lot of shortcomings and make a lot of mistakes.
The Yankees often give too long of guaranteed contracts, which hurts a players performance as they are usually not as motivated. This can be seen in the multi-year contracts given out. Generally, they also do not emphasize pitching enough, and put a lot of their money on good hitters.
Another thing they do is not take into account personality. Baseball is a team sport, having 25 superstars in a locker room can be difficult. Many times, a group of decent players is better than a few superstars, with their super egos.
Another problem they have is to pay aging superstars too much money. Just because a player was great in the past, sometimes the Yankees throw a lot of money at them just to make a statement it seems. In the end, for how much money they spend on a payroll, the team is not all that successful. That is, when looking at number of wins versus how much money is spent on the payroll.

After another disappointing year for the Dallas Cowboys, Jerry Jones was thinking about nothing but defense for the NFL 2012 draft. The Cowboys moved up to snag the LSU defensive star CB Morris Claiborne with the 6th pick in the draft. Their first four picks were defensive players, and five out of their seven picks were defensive players.
With a defense that was middle of the pack in nearly every rankable stat, their pass rush is their one dominant strength on the defensive side of the ball. Along with Claiborne, the Cowboys went out and spent a small fortune signing ex-Chiefs star CB Brandon Carr to bolster a weak secondary.
Defensive coordinator guru Rob Ryan has decided that the 2011 weaknesses were his fault, due to rushing his teachings. Ryan has stated on numerous occasions that this year he will be going back to the basic fundamentals of his hybrid 3-4 defense and slowly advancing until he is 100% sure the whole defensive squad understands their role and the overall scheme. This will allow all players new to the team to properly learn their positions and re-teach those who have been in the system. Hopefully, the defense will not give up leads on the final minutes of games, or Rob Ryan will be on his way out of Dallas.
Many NBA fans are already wondering who will be drafted this upcoming year. While everyone is focused on the big names, there are three guards that could be tremendous steals for any NBA team in the second round. They are Peyton Silva, Michael Snaer and Kenny Boynton.
Peyton Silva, PG, Louisville
Peyton Silva is one of the most exciting point guards in the NCAA right now. While he is only 6" he stands heard and shoulders above most of his competition. He is poised to lead Louisville to another deep Final Four run this year. With his speed he can easily carve up any defense.
Michael Snaer, SG, Florida State
Michael Snaer is one of the purest shooters that will be available for the 2013 NBA Draft. He has great range and the confidence to knock down any shot. He is a tremendous three-point shooter and should only get better. He will be a steal in the second round for any team.
Kenny Boynton, SG, Florida
Kenny Boynton averaged nearly 16 points per game last year for the Gators as their second option. That number will be sure to go up now that he will be the main focus. He is a scoring threat and consistent shooter but may need to work on his mid-range game.
